Thanks to everybody who joined us last night for the State of the New Narrative meeting! Here is a recap and follow up for those who missed it.
We’d love to get a volunteer administrative manager to help us with all the behind-the-scenes work of what makes the New Narrative happen. None of it is especially hard but it takes some time and focus. We know some people love these sorts of projects.
Our social media presence is lacking, to say the least. We’d love to develop a more coherent strategy and have the people power to make it happen. Is this something you can help us with? If so, we’d love to talk to you about taking on a volunteer role as our social media manager.
Our website is in need of a brush-up and we’d love to bring in some volunteer help to make some updates, add some content, and see what can be done to create an overall better user experience. If you’ve got some experience with Squarespace or want a chance to learn how to use it better we’d love your help.
We’re looking to make the New Narrative grow, and in order to do that, we’re going to need some help. Check out the link for upcoming volunteer roles that we’d love to get filled.

Ever since the George Floyd murder and the Black Lives Matter protests began a couple of weeks ago, I’ve certainly gone through my own process of better understanding my part in systematic racism, how I can do better going forward, and how I intend to personally react to the situation now. While I’m working through all that for myself, I also have another set of questions about how The New Narrative should respond to what’s going on too. I’d love to open up a discussion on this with anybody who has thoughts to share.
We’re opening the call for people who have been regular speakers, volunteers, attendees, and contributors to the New Narrative in the past to take a step forward and get more involved. How can we work together to get your vision, talents, and message out there? What would you like to do?
