Thanks for taking a look at the link and being interested in participating in our first podcasting project with us. Here is what you need to know.
Additional notes:
1) As of right now this project is an experiment and will be kept internal. We want to create opportunities for all of us to collaborate, practice new skills, and get to know each other as a community. This podcasting project accomplishes all three.
We’d like to get your recording back by Friday, December 4, but we realize that might be a tight turnaround for some of us during the holidays. For now, do what you can and we’ll adjust if need be.
2) To record, iPhone users should be able to record using the Voice Memos app. Most Android users should have an audio recording app built in to their phones, sometimes inside a folder such as “Samsung,” and the app will be called “Voice Recorder” or “HD Audio Recorder” or something like that. If you’re on android or Pixel, you can also download the official Google Recorder app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.recorder
3) After you’ve recorded your podcast contribution, you can upload it, provide us with some feedback, and give us consent to use your recording all via the link here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScPRnZ30nBOYfoLvqNXRDjM-VUFXjSXISU4oHuYzR11kRL6fg/viewform (you might have to sign in to your google account to access the form)
4) If it’s helpful you can download the above infographic via the button below:
That’s it! This should be enough to get you started!
We’re excited to see how this project goes and give us all a chance to try something new. If you have thoughts or questions you can email Nathan directly, OR better yet, hop on over to The New Narrative Collaborative Slack Channel and post your thoughts/questions/ideas/pictures in the #podcast-challenge Channel.
Thanks!

The time has come. I’m ready to start pulling together the first cohorts and begin planning events more in earnest. I’m sending this email to share a handful more details and see who’s interested in helping to plan the first months of events.
Last week we were able to get some people together in person for the first time since the pandemic started. I feel like the consensus was definitely that we should do it again, even make it a semi-regular thing. I would love to do that. The big question that comes up for me is what to do for these gatherings.
Last week I sent out an email about plans to relaunch the New Narrative. I also talked about how this relaunched version of The New Narrative is going to have a new focus and in a format akin to a non-theistic church. I’m looking to bring some folks together to help with the planning and implementation of this new plan.
This is the latest update on what is happening with the New Narrative. A lot has changed and we’ve definitely struggled with our direction during the pandemic. Now that things are opening up and the world feels a little bit safer, a more focused set of plans have begun to emerge.
The latest update on plans to re-ignite the New Narrative, including writing the “manifesto,” hosting new events, and getting serious about fundraising.
Thanks to everybody who responded to the last email and update about what we’ve got going on with the New Narrative. This week I wanted to update folks on the plans I have going forward. I’d love to hear some of your thoughts, feedback, and interest level.
This post is for everybody who participated or showed an interest in the New Narrative collective group a couple of months ago. This is a general update on where I'm at, where the project is at, and the next steps going forward.
We’re going to record a podcast and we’d love to have you contribute. Read all about it here.
Welcome to the New Narrative Collaborative Internal Blog. This will be a section of the website where we’ll post internal updates about happenings within the collaborative.
