I have three things to share with this group. Please check them out below.
1) Events for the New Narrative are going to begin in earnest, perhaps as soon as next week. I’ve got a couple of my own ideas that I’ll be putting into action, but I’d love to get thoughts and ideas from this larger group too. Based on the discussions we’ve had so far, is there a certain type of event you’d like to see, creative practice explored, or even something you’d like to host?
I sent an email with some additional ideas along these lines a couple of weeks ago too. You can check it out here:

2) As part of planning out these new events, I also want to bring together the first cohorts. For each cohort, I’d like to get 4-5 people to come together for ~six weeks to help plan a month’s worth of programming. Each month would be based on a theme, and the cohort plan would be a way to give you all a significant influence in planning how we explore a theme, and also get to more deeply explore what the theme means to you too.
The first themes I’ve got in mind are Community, Connection, Gratitude, and Resilience.
Here is an email I sent about it last week too:

3) Lastly, I plan to start transitioning communication away from emails like this and moving them over to Slack. The emails were good to get momentum going but now I’m hoping there’s enough critical mass to maintain discussions in Slack instead.
If you haven’t already joined, here is a link to the workspace. The channels will have to be reorganized, so bear with me as I adjust everything over there.

That’s it for now! I’d appreciate hearing from any of you with other thoughts and ideas going forward.
I’m excited to finally get started again.
Thanks!
Nathan

The time has come. I’m ready to start pulling together the first cohorts and begin planning events more in earnest. I’m sending this email to share a handful more details and see who’s interested in helping to plan the first months of events.
Last week we were able to get some people together in person for the first time since the pandemic started. I feel like the consensus was definitely that we should do it again, even make it a semi-regular thing. I would love to do that. The big question that comes up for me is what to do for these gatherings.
Last week I sent out an email about plans to relaunch the New Narrative. I also talked about how this relaunched version of The New Narrative is going to have a new focus and in a format akin to a non-theistic church. I’m looking to bring some folks together to help with the planning and implementation of this new plan.
This is the latest update on what is happening with the New Narrative. A lot has changed and we’ve definitely struggled with our direction during the pandemic. Now that things are opening up and the world feels a little bit safer, a more focused set of plans have begun to emerge.
The latest update on plans to re-ignite the New Narrative, including writing the “manifesto,” hosting new events, and getting serious about fundraising.
Thanks to everybody who responded to the last email and update about what we’ve got going on with the New Narrative. This week I wanted to update folks on the plans I have going forward. I’d love to hear some of your thoughts, feedback, and interest level.
This post is for everybody who participated or showed an interest in the New Narrative collective group a couple of months ago. This is a general update on where I'm at, where the project is at, and the next steps going forward.
We’re going to record a podcast and we’d love to have you contribute. Read all about it here.
