Community Check-In

Over the course of the last couple of weeks, things went from relatively normal to a surreal, virus pandemic lockdown. I’m sure it’s left a lot of us feeling frazzled, nervous, lonely, unsure of what’s going on, and probably a bit crazy.

It’s times like this that having a community of open and supportive people in your life can be especially important. It can help you find a place to voice your feelings and find out that you’re not alone.

Saturday morning we’re going to host what we’re calling a Community Check-In call. If you’re reading this, you’re welcome to join.

We’ll host the check-in via Zoom (what else?). If the group gets too big, we can break it into smaller “virtual rooms.” If you’re open to helping to facilitate one of those rooms as needed, please let me know.

The format is pretty simple. We just go around the room and share our thoughts on four questions.

1) What are you grateful for?
2) What are you working on?
3) What are you worried about?
4) What give you hope?

This is all based off a series of meetups I hosted shortly after the 2016 election. It helped us all better wrap our heads around what was happening and feel a little less crazy and alone through it all. It ended up being a very helpful and redemptive experience for a lot of folks.

If you think this would be helpful, we’d hope you’ll join. The zoom link is below. I’m not really sure what to expect, so for this first time around we’ll just leave it open and anybody who’d like to join can join.

Here is the link. We’ll see ya Saturday:
