Now more than ever our communities are engaged and ready to be politically involved. The New Narrative hosts a special panel discussion with local leaders to share their knowledge and insight on political advocacy and working for change on a local level. We’ll talk about what advocacy is, how it works and how we all can get involved.
This will be a social event with time devoted to meeting one another and making new connections too. The hope is that concerned citizens will continue to find coalitions and we can all leave the event with a stronger idea of how we can make a direct difference in our world.
Our panelists:
Nicole Capretz – Climate Action Campaign
Barry Pollard – Urban Collaborative Project
Marlena Balderas – Mid-City Community Advocacy Network
Come early for something to eat and/or a glass of wine at the Rose Wine Bar. The panel discussion will be in the adjacent event room beginning at 7pm.
